Refunds, without the fog.

Operator details. The service is operated and sold by Colin Wren, a sole proprietor in Brooklyn, New York. Ask the past is the product name; Colin Wren is the legal seller.

What you buy

The API currently charges US$0.50 per completion request. A request is a one-time digital service, not a subscription. The charge is authorized through Stripe MPP before the gateway sends the request to the model.

When we will refund

We will review and generally refund a request when:

• the same request was charged more than once;
• the payment succeeded but our gateway returned a service failure before a completion could be delivered; or
• an obvious billing or technical error occurred.

A successful completion is not normally refundable merely because the generated text is strange, incomplete, inaccurate, or stylistically unsatisfying. Model output is probabilistic and is described in the Terms.

How to request a review

Contact hello@askthepast.online within 30 days. Include the Stripe payment or receipt identifier, approximate time, endpoint, and HTTP status. Do not send card numbers or secret API keys. We may ask for enough information to verify the transaction.

Approved refunds are sent through Stripe to the original payment method. Processing time depends on the payment method and bank. Mandatory consumer refund rights remain unaffected.
