Keep the time machine civil.

This policy is part of the Terms of Service. It is intentionally short for the initial launch and may be expanded as usage patterns become clear.

Do not use the service to

• break the law, infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights, or evade sanctions or access controls;
• target, harass, threaten, defraud, impersonate, or exploit people;
• generate malware, credential theft, phishing, or instructions for compromising systems;
• make decisions about employment, housing, credit, insurance, education, healthcare, legal matters, or physical safety;
• submit payment-card data, passwords, secrets, government identifiers, health information, or confidential data without authorization;
• probe, overload, scrape, resell, or interfere with the API or its payment controls; or
• present generated historical text as verified fact without independent review.

Be considerate of the model

Keep requests within the published limits, use a reasonable rate, and review output before sharing it. The model is a historical continuation model with a period voice; it can be confidently wrong, repetitive, or unrelated to the prompt.

Enforcement

We may rate-limit, block, or suspend requests that violate this policy, create risk, or threaten the reliability of the service. Where appropriate, we may preserve and share limited information to respond to fraud, abuse, or legal process.
